CBD at Night vs Morning – Which is Best?

You’ve probably wondered if there’s a best time to use CBD – when you’ll see the greatest results and benefit from it the most, that is. Is it first thing in the morning to get you energized and ready to take on the day ahead? Or is it right before bed to help you relax and drift off into Lalaland for a peaceful night of sleep? While there’s not an exact science to it, it’s a common question we get here &Sunny, and so, we’d like to shed some light on the topic. After all, we want to see you flourish with your self-care products!

Let's first start with a brief overview of how CBD affects us. It all comes down to the endocannabinoid system, which is responsible for regulating super important functions like appetite, sleep, memory,  pain management, immune response and overall mood. AKA it controls many aspects of our health and well-being and basically promotes biological harmony. When absorbed into the bloodstream, CBD can boost and build up naturally occurring endocannabinoids in the system, further helping to establish vital balance throughout the body and mind.

Now that we’ve gotten the science-y part out of the way…

Generally speaking, the ideal time for using CBD greatly depends on your personal lifestyle. There are a few considerations to think about as you establish a routine and figure out what works best, with the most important being your end goal. Ask yourself what you’re trying to achieve by incorporating CBD into your regimen. It varies from person to person. For example, some use CBD in the morning to start their day with a boost of clarity, while others use it at night to unwind and wake up refreshed.

Remember, too, that the full effects of CBD can take up to 60 minutes before you “feel” them and can remain in the body after that for up to 12 hours. This window is wide and depends on many variables, including the concentration of the product you’re using and your individual body weight and tolerance to hemp. Want to learn more about how much CBD is right for you?

We’ve helped answer that, too!

The reality is, the best way to determine whether you should be using CBD in the morning or at night is to experiment (a classic case of trial and error). Take a few weeks to try out different application times, delivery methods and doses to discover what makes you feel best. But we also think you shouldn’t have to choose. Many find that consistently using CBD to maintain a regular level in their system to be the most beneficial. We kept this in mind at &Sunny as we built out our line of wellness and self-care products, which is why they’re all lightly-infused and intended for all-day, everyday use.

"I created &Sunny because I was intimidated by many of the products out there. I believe women's wellness should be simple - most of our base ingredients can be found in your home pantry."
